After retirement, he remained associated with several companies.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHis musical training began at the age of eight under \u003cstrong\u003eRabindralal Roy\u003c\/strong\u003e. He became a disciple of \u003cstrong\u003ePadma Bhushan Ustad Mushtaq Hussain Khan\u003c\/strong\u003e and was deeply influenced by \u003cstrong\u003eUstad Faiyaz Khan\u003c\/strong\u003e (Aftab-e-Mausiqi). He also received extensive training from \u003cstrong\u003eUstad Ata Hussain Khan\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eUstad Latafat Hussain Khan\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe performed in most major cities of India and at renowned music conferences, except for Punjab's \u003cstrong\u003eHarballabh Festival\u003c\/strong\u003e. His \u003cstrong\u003edebut radio performance was as an invited artist on the National Program\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs a musician and scholar, he has delivered lectures and performances at prestigious institutions, including the \u003cstrong\u003eSangeet Research Academy in Kolkata, the Institute of Advanced Studies in Shimla, the Academy and Tyagaraja Vidwat Samaj in Madras, and the Gayan Samaj and Gana Kala Parishad in Bangalore\u003c\/strong\u003e. In \u003cstrong\u003e1972, Gana Kala Parishad honored him with the title of \"Pandit.\"\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe received the \u003cstrong\u003eRabindra Puraskar (Bengali Year 1403) for his book \u003cem\u003eKudrat Rangibirangi\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e.
