From 1982 to 1984, he served as the editor of the monthly magazine Shiladitya.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe received numerous awards, including the Anand Award in 1967 and 1992, the Academy Award in 1975, the Sharatchandra Chattopadhyay Award from Calcutta University in 1981, and the Narsingh Das Award from Delhi University in 1982.
