The Kali Yuga is described as a dry and bleak era where everything loses its original essence, becoming mixed and impure. Until Kalki's arrival, people must practice devotion, recite and sing God’s glories, and adhere to truthfulness, self-control, and altruism. Ramakrishna emphasized the power of the divine name in Kali Yuga, stating that even crying out God’s name for a day and night can lead to divine revelation. While Kali Yuga is rife with negativity, its one redeeming feature is the salvific power of the holy name.
