Both writers and readers know that the demand for the dark genre in Bengali literature has been at its peak over the past few years. Various kinds of fiction and non-fiction books belonging to this genre have already gained popularity among readers.
In this context, after discussing the matter with senior literary figures, it occurred to us that it would be worthwhile to have a handbook that could help readers and aspiring writers understand the basics of dark-genre literature.
This idea is what gave rise to this collection.
