Atlas And Skye by Emma Smith-Barton [Paperback]

Atlas worries that his grandfather’s increasing forgetfulness will eventually make him forget Atlas, too, and becomes determined to restore his missing memories. Meanwhile, Skye struggles with loneliness and the changes in her family as her older sister leaves for university. When the two children become friends, they work together to uncover fragments of Grandpa’s past, learning to face uncertainty, cherish meaningful memories and understand that love can endure even when memories fade. Told through alternating verse and prose chapters, the novel explores friendship, family bonds and the courage to let go.
