Childish by Morris Gleitzman [Paperback]

Arkie is beginning to enjoy city life thanks to his friendship with Dot and her family’s Chinese takeaway. When Dot breaks her arm after hitting a pothole, Arkie becomes frustrated by the adults’ excuses for leaving the road unrepaired. With Dot and their plasticine, he sets out to unite the community and tackle the problem themselves, proving that children’s ideas and determination can make a real difference.
